XVI VTLA

Victrola XVI was introduced in 1907 and was offered until 1921. The earliest Pooley-built cabinets were made until 1910. They are distinguished by the carved panel beneath the lids as show here. The earliest ID plates were stamped with "VTLA" as is this Victrola. The "L"-doors were eliminated in 1912.

Multiple options were available: Vernis-martin cabinet, electric motors, circassian walnut, etc. Prices started at $200 in 1907 but with different options were priced as high as $750.
